This is taking place in Milton Keynes (in the Real World), on November 20th and 21st. It’s a pretty exciting programme of good and interesting speakers and is thus worth keeping an eye on and exploring, if you aren’t there (RL or VW) already.

The launch of Virtual World Watch was followed immediately by a month travelling around the USA, visiting places such as Los Angeles and Santa Monica, Monterey, Seattle, the area where Twin Peaks was filmed, Big Mountain, Whitefish, Northern USA, the Obama presidential rally, Graceland, Memphis, New Orleans, Texas and the Getty Center.
That doesn’t have much to do with virtual worlds, though VWW did some promotion and met useful US contacts during the trip. VWW is now back in the UK.
Therefore, VWW will be starting the process of data collection for the next snapshot survey soon. The results of this will be released in January and discussed in a presentation in Glasgow in the middle of that month.
